Coy was born in Toledo , Ohio and is a graduate of Capital University (BA, summa cum laude , 1971) and The Ohio State University College of Law (JD, summa cum laude , 1974). Mr. Coy litigates personal injury, product liability, transportation, intentional tort, liquor liability, insurance coverage, bad faith and commercial claims; with a concentration in the defense of catastrophic losses, personal injury, insurance and product claims. He serves as a regional counsel to a major U.S. insurance company, served as a litigation consultant and coordinator for a national medical services provider, and is active in and has presented at state and national litigation organizations and meetings. Mr. Coy is a member of the Federal of Defense and Corporate Counsel; Defense Research Institute; Ohio Association of Civil Trial Attorneys (Past District Director) and the American, Ohio and Toledo Bar Associations.
